Our most important goal as directed by Jesus Christ in the "Great Commission” is to reach the lost.

 

GOD'S SIMPLE PLAN OF SALVATION

Many people live out their lives and die without being saved, not because they don't want to, but simply because they don't understand God's simple plan. Please don't be one of those. I challenge you to give God 1 minute (60 seconds) of your time and read about God's 'Simple Plan of Salvation'.

(1) II Pet 3:9 God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

**God wants to save you more than you want to be saved. His mind is already made up concerning your salvation.

(2) Rom 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God

**We must understand that we are sinners. This simply means that we have failed to meet God's standards. Jesus Christ is God's standard by which all men will be judged. How do you stack up against Jesus? Can anyone dare say they are as good as Jesus? NO! Then we are sinners who need to be saved.

 

(3) Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life.

**God clearly states the penalty for sinners. DEATH! This is not simply physical death but also includes Spiritual death. What is Spiritual death? It is eternal separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell.

(4) Rom 5:8 But God commended his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

**God has a plan to save us from Hell. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ into this world to die on a cross in my place to pay my penalty for sin. God carried out his plan for us 2000yrs ago on Calvary.

(5) Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

**God' plan is not a complicated system of rules and regulations but a simple act of believing and confessing. What is it we must believe?

(a)  Jesus died for me personally.

(b)  Jesus was resurrected from the dead

(c)  Jesus ascended back to heaven

(d)  Jesus is coming again

The Gospel in a nutshell is the Death, Burial, Resurrection, and the coming again of Jesus Christ. If you can believe this you can be saved.

(6) Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

**God's plan is simply to call upon the Name of the Lord in faith believing. Are you willing to call upon the Lord in prayer asking him to forgive you and to save you? If you are then pray this simple prayer:

God be merciful to me. I need help, I'm a sinner and I need to be saved. I'm sorry for my sins, please forgive me and cleanse me of all my sin. Jesus I ask you right now to save me, to come into my heart and be my personal Lord and Savior. By faith I receive you right now as my very own Lord and Savior.

If you prayed this prayer from the depths of your heart because you believe that Jesus Christ paid your sin price then you have done all the Bible requires. Now you need to confess it to someone. Then you need to go to a local church and publicly confess Christ and follow Him in Baptism.
